Flying servitors are complete
And the final quick little post while I'm actually on the other side of the globe from my paints and minis (yes, I've been in Australia for the last week and a half) is of the flying servitors. These little guys were quite popular when I originally posted them, hopefully the paint has increased their appeal even further.
And as a reminder, here are the original WIP shots.
I'll be back in the US soon and will hopefully have some more new minis to show you all a few days later.
Cheers
Dave

Fantastic work as usual dude! Ave Mechanicum!
ReplyDeleteMarvellous. They turned out really great.
ReplyDeleteGee Dave, another bunch of awesome models by you. But I fear the areas on the cloaks where the plastic shades off into the green stuff might be too obvious once the minis are painted.
ReplyDeleteWhile I think the photos might be exaggerating the meeting point of the plastic and gs, I will certainly admit the join is not professionally smooth ; )
DeleteLook right out of a John Blanche illustration. Great work.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Guess I'm going to need to get my hands on some Dark Eldar bits...
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous. Probably the coolest completed models out of your recent AdMech conversions. Sometimes its little models like these that push a project over the top for me.
ReplyDeleteMan, your posts are pure, undiluted inspiration :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThese are supreme, Dave.
ReplyDeletewhere abouts in australia are you? if you're nearby i should like to shake your hand/buy you a drink
ReplyDeleteHi JTG
DeleteI've been in Newcastle and Sydney, catching up with family and friends and doing all sorts of kid-friendly sightseeing, so there might not have been much time for extra-curricular beer drinking ; ) Thanks for the offer though.
Cheers
Dave
my understanding was that while in australia all beer drinking was considered curricular...
Deletei hope i can catch you next time then?
Are those Skaven bodies or Night Goblins?
ReplyDeleteWhat did you use for the wings? Is that from the RW upgrade sprue?
Where are the arms from? They look suitably spindly and odd.
I recently found your blog and your work is a massive inspiration.

Hi DM
DeleteThey are Night Goblin bodies, and the wings are cut from a SM icon thingy. The arms are the tiny ones from the Dark Eldar Talos kit, very lovely little arms indeed.
Cheers
Penfold
Looks good Dave.
ReplyDeleteAnd ffs mate, if I'd known you were going to be down here, I'd have taken it as a good excuse to leave Taswegia for a few days to come buy you a meal.
It has been a busy, family-filled trip, so don't feel too bad ; ) mind you, I'd have thought that living in Taswegia might have been a better reason for leaving for a few days! ; )
DeleteWell, yes, but when you have to justify everything to the boss...
DeleteAn excellent work, regards
